TITSSN completes plans to open a Technology Café/Entertainment/Conference Center in Arverne, Far Rockaway, Queens, NY in early 2009

It has been a few months in the works but we are now very excited that we have finalized the plans to open our high tech Technology Café /Entertainment/Conference Center in Arverne. As new residents to the Arverne community, we have been working to introduce more IT/Security forums, events and community programs to the area and have been working with the local community to do so. Our monthly technology open discussion forums and other events have shown that we are serious about taking this community initiative to higher levels of technological advancements and elevate the education and awareness of IT and secure best practices for all.

We have been looking for an existing building in the area that we can purchase to build our Technology Café/ Entertainment/Conference Center by the Sea but have been delayed in finding a suitable one thus far. Our aim is to create an environment where people can come in and see/play with the latest technology trends and be able to talk with specialists on/about them in a laid back friendly setting. Our conference center will feature a high tech setting for meetings and other collaborative needs of the business community with access to internet, voice and other specialized resources. The center will also host a technology lab for simulating the development, deployment, testing of technology in various types of business and sizes.

Each month we will host specific IT Security forum sessions geared towards addressing the ever growing issues/impacts/concerns about the internet and its threats and use. With the growing number of technology devices (laptops, Ultra Mobile PCs, Smartphones, touch screen devices, handhelds and more) and the partnerships we have with the major players in this space, we will make this café/center into a high tech advance learning and entertainment resource for our community. These technologies/gadgets will also be a part of our center to enhance the learning and visibility of our visitors/member/affiliates and friends.

Our monthly educational sessions will cater to the community in general fostering the needed education and awareness that will take us into the future of technology with the needed understanding of what, where, when and how they will be integrated in our everyday lives. We are working with the local schools to have field trips to the center where our youths can gain from this advancement and help them to make better decisions on technology and the path to pursue a career in this field.

As we work on building out this resource, we are also looking to expand into other areas later on as we see the need for this level of community involvement from the technology specialists and organizations that can deliver it. The center will bring added employment/learning opportunities for residence of the community as we will have positions that will need to be filled.

Stay with us as we complete the last stages and get ready for launch in early 2009. We will be having an awesome launch event with guests like Ernie “Ghostbuster” Hudson and more celebrities who have joined our cause of getting this initiative of education and awareness out to the communities.
