MESS 2008 update - Actor/movie star Ernie Hudson will be our special guest speaker
Link: http://titssn.net/mess
Good day to you,
We’re very excited to share this early news with you. Famous actor/movie star Ernie “Ghostbuster” Hudson (now Securitybuster) will be our special guest speaker at MESS 2008 on May 20th.

I met up with him at I-CON 27 and we talked for a while about the ways in which we’re seeing mobility driving the dissemination of the entertainment business, the security issues they present and how it would benefit him as an actor and he liked it.
He gave us a good deal (in my opinion for someone at his level) because he supports our initiatives and likes the idea of generating more awareness and education around and about these issues. We will be working with him on the final logistics of his trip for the event his week but we wanted to give you a quick update on this as it is locked in and secured, he will be there.
The idea of working with the celebrities community is to show that IT Security goes outside of IT and brings together every area of society. IT Security is not just an industry problem, it’s a people problem and we’re all affected by it one way or another.
We’re also working on having Mr. Kieffer Sutherland as our guest speaker to kick off the National IT Security Public Awareness Program this year. His role in 24 speaks very well (to some level) of what we do as IT Security professionals and having him with us would be a great complement to our national outreach program. We’re keeping my fingers crossed that it’ll work out :-)
More details to come shortly. Here is Mr. Hudson’s website www.ernie-hudson.com.
MESS 2008 event info and registration details are here.
Seats are limited so catch one while you can.
We’d like to say many thanks to him for sharing in our vision and making the time to do this with us. Thank you Sir.
